School to School Exchange with Spain
Your
school can host a group of Spanish students in the
fall and visit Spain in the spring!
If you are
an American school administrator looking to enhance
your school's curriculum with real life experience,
CCI's Spanish/American School to School Exchange program
is for you. Working in association with the Foundation
for the Future in Spain, CCI will match your school
with a Spanish partner school for a reciprocal exchange
program. When your school hosts a group of students
from Spain, your students will learn about the Spanish
language and culture through first-hand experience
living and interacting with their Spanish peers. To
complete the exchange, your students can travel to
Spain for 2-3 weeks at a very low cost. In Spain,
your students will be immersed in the Spanish culture,
as they will live with Spanish host families, attend
classes and participate in cultural activities arranged
by your partner school. One teacher from each school
can travel for free with a group of 12 or more participants
- providing you the opportunity to develop long lasting
relationships with colleagues abroad.

Program Includes
Provided
by receiving schools:
- Welcome orientation
- Room and board with a volunteer host family
- Participation in regular school classes
- Two cultural activities per week
- Two full-day excursions during the program
- 24-hour contact for emergencies
- Round trip airport transfers to the nearest
airport
Provided by CCI:
- International air travel
- Medical/accident insurance
- Support from the CCI National Office
 Dates
and Duration
Programs last approximately 3 weeks. Spanish students
usually visit the U.S. in the fall and the Americans
travel to Spain in the spring. The cooperating schools
determine exact dates.
Number of Students
Traveling groups usually include 10-20 students escorted
by a teacher. Groups may be larger or smaller depending
on the needs and resources of the partner schools.
Costs
There is no fee to participate as a receiving school.
Traveling students pay approximately $1,200-1,500
per student including airfare, medical/accident insurance
and CCI support. One teacher travels free with each
group of 12 or more. American schools have the option
of hosting a Spanish group without sending students
abroad.
For an additional cost, overnight excursions
to Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and other Spanish cities
can be arranged. Please ask CCI for details.
