Why learn Spanish in Costa Rica? Not only are Costa Ricans considered by many to have one of the easiest dialects to understand, but also, the terms they use are universal throughout several Spanish speaking countries.

Nestled among lush green hills, the capital of Costa
Rica offers exciting attractions.
Enjoy the rich history offered by the Museums of Jade and Gold or the Teatro Nacional. Despite the city’s sophistication you will find
the atmosphere very relaxed, and the local “ticos”
(Costa Ricans) to be friendly and welcoming hosts. Within just a few hours you can hike in cloud forests,
go white water rafting, or climb a volcano.
School and Location
The school is located in the safe, quiet suburb of Zapote, just
a ten minute bus ride from downtown San Jose. The
clean, modern facilities include 17 classrooms, a
computer room, and spacious common areas perfect for
socializing with classmates. Class size is limited
to 8 participants.
Accommodation and Meals
Students will enjoy their stay with carefully screened host families located near the school. Our host families are warm and welcoming and are eager to share their culture and their home! Two meals daily are provided, and each participant will either have their own room or share with another student.
Dates
Whether you are a beginner or have an advanced level of Spanish, classes begin every Monday throughout the year. Each participant can choose between a 3 or 4 week program. Contact CCI if a longer or shorter stay is desired.

If you’re dreaming of a tropical paradise, look
no further than Manuel Antonio National Park! Deep
green forested mountains meet the turquoise waters
of the Pacific in this spectacular protected area. A combination of white
sandy beaches and abundant wildlife make this a truly
special place.
An endless variety of diversions awaits
you: choose from hiking, swimming,
diving, white water rafting, surfing, horseback riding, and
rainforest canopy tours, to name just a few! If lazy
sunbathing is more what you have in mind, Manuel Antonio
is the perfect place.
School and Location
The school is located on park grounds. The facilities
include 12 classrooms and a computer room. Class size
is limited to 8 participants.

Heredia, Costa Rica Junior's Program (14-16)
Safe, secure, and welcoming, Costa Rica is an ideal
destination for young students of Spanish. This special junior's program is available for teens in June and July. In the Juniors program, class size is a maximum of 8 students, and books and materials are included. On the first day, each student will be tested to determine the appropriate class level.
School and Location
The program takes place
in a Costa Rican high school occupying 15 acres in
San Juan de Santa Barbara de Heredia, a quiet, pleasant
town surrounded by coffee plantations just outside
of San Jose. The modern facilities include 51 classrooms,
a swimming pool, volleyball and basketball courts,
soccer field, cafeteria and computer lab.

Students will enjoy their stay with carefully screened host families located near the school. Our host families are warm and welcoming and are eager to share their culture and their home! Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided, and each participant will either have their own room or share with another student.
