LOCAL COORDINATOR for Inbound Programs (Temporary/Contract position)
Location: Throughout the U.S.

CCI is seeking local coordinators for our group homestay programs, particularly in suburban areas of major to mid-size cities.

A local coordinator is an independent contractor who organizes an exchange student group in or around the area in which s/he is living. The primary role of the coordinator is to recruit volunteer host families for a group of approximately 10-15 foreign high school students. These students choose CCI short term programs in order to practice their English and experience American culture. Programs are generally 2 to 3 weeks long, and can take place throughout the year.

Responsibilities:

  • recruiting volunteer host families
  • arranging ESL classes and/or visits to local high schools
  • organizing activities
  • coordinating transportation
  • providing ongoing support to students and host families
  • communicating all aspects of the program to the national office

In order to recruit and screen host families, coordinators must be willing and able to spend a considerable amount of time networking, promoting the program, and interviewing potential families in the months before students arrive. Please note that local coordinators are independent contractors, not full time employees.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, resourceful, connected to their community (have lived in same community at least 3 years), able to manage a budget, and experienced in working with students from other countries. Foreign language teachers are encouraged to apply.

To Apply: email resume and cover letter to Nicole Cook, Short-Terms Program Director, at ncook@cci-exchange.com
